I'm starting to think the Bugbear should only be 10% but I should reduce to the STR bonus to +1. What do y'all think?

I think they are within the parameters for 10% experience adjustment while still keeping the +2 Str. By taking it away they are little more than weaker Half Orcs.

Cool. I think so too. They don't seem on par or even close to the drow.

Well here's another thing, should it be -2 Int or Wis? I just thought Bugbears were tactical so that why I brought it up.

I think its a toss-up. Monsters of the Goblinoid species tend to lack intelligence. However Bugbears are masters of ambush. Maybe the Wisdom maybe Intellignece I'm not sure which would be associated but I'm inclined to direct the negative to Int.

I second that.

I think the bad Int is what keep them from being a major race. They were recruited by the monsters.

If we feel the race is good enough then the creator of the post should copy the post with the finished race to the first post.

ust looked over the posts and found the questions we had and posted them together.

- In the Attributes I feel that option "A" is fair. Have you ever seen a Bug Bear with a 20 Str?
- I am not for the 10% exp penalty, but feel we should still provide a limitation, maybe class's is the option.
- Does the AC bonus count wile wearing armor?

Questions Asked:

(A)
+1 Str
+1 Dex
-2 Int

or

(B)
+2 Str
-2 Int

or

(C)
Str: +2
Dex: +1
Int: -2

We can also limit it to certain class's, like they can not be a Mage or attain the highest level cleric spells since they worship weak gods?

DARK VISION: Like an Orc.

MOVE SILENTLY (Dexterity): Like a Rogue. Bugbears also receive a +2 to hide and move silent checks.

THICK HIDE: Bugbears receive a +1 natural armor bonus to AC.

PERCEPTIVE: Bugbears receive a +2 to all listening and spot checks.

LANGUAGES: Bug Bear, Common, Goblin, Undercommon,

With option A, it's like Lem said, they're like half-orcs. But with the bonus to AC they're more powerful. So maybe 5% instead of 10% and using option A...

Forget about what I said about the 30% to Drow...I read the spell resistance wrong...I thought it was like how spell resistance worked in D&D. I didn't notice that it says you get to add 50% extra of your lvl to resist a spell...So...
