I dont have a problem with it atm, but when we Get the ball really rolling where they start to get benefits we have to up the charge on them and on us. That sounds fair right?

we also have a warrior who is going to be in charge of training all the other new wanna be guild mates, we have a paladin who well also be helping with training but also as spiritual guidance for those who need. a procurer who well help in getting us what we need for item shops, scientist, engineer's, and of course whatever personal we might need. a recruiter that well get us more people to train and send on mission the lesser ones that we would do I we were like lvl 1/2 or whatever. a medic so in case we get hurt we have someone to go to and we have someone else that well help as well. (cant remember hopefully someone well chime in lol) but as you can tell we are all working hard on this so any imput of course is more then welcomed and if you are not happy with this then let us know of course and well talk about it.

I'm confused. These people were recruited to be a part of the guild and work towards being ready for the Ninjas, right? So they are supposed to pay you to work for you or are they paying you to be a part of your network? The experts joined up, they weren't hired. The distinction would effect how they interact with you guys and the overhead cost of things.

The Paladin and the Fighter are both happy to fulfill the roles that Guild Leader Donte has selected for them.

Paladin level 1
Melinda Ashanti
Krent/Ying(black-asian like Masaru)
Paladin of Agragon The Spear of Destiny

Fighter level 1
Douglas Roundtree
Westing
Former Guardsman of the capital city

Introducing Solomon's addition to the guild:

Hot Rod level 2

Brandon Flakers
Westing
Up and coming stunt cyclist

there working but there work that they do pays for the dues its self. if they lets say invent something idk a new more powerful kind of redbull that restores more energy it well be sold and in making a profit for the guild with the help of the procurer or whoever. they well paying off there dues without having to deep into here pocket and make them self's a little something something too. we have recruiter that well help find more scientist and engineer at well work under them or with them whatever the case may be and well keep expanding our labs this way.
so yes they were recruited to be part of the guild and this is what we need of them, we need to put there skills to use. were not going to have a engineer in the front lines that makes no sense were gonna have him creating weapons and new tools to fight the ninjas.

I sort of have a better understanding of what you mean however I think you should know that the expert class can wield any simple weapon and has a 3.5 cleric's bth. So I get your logic but I made sure that everyone in the guild could be useful either in or out of battle.

im glad they can fight but not every fight is combat lol. some fights are better fought in the labs then on the field.

I think when you said they were experts we took it in the literal term of experts in that field. so when we asked If they can be scientist, engineers, medics etc etc. you said yeah they can. so that's what we plans for them to do.

I've made a similar mistake. I thought Guild Staff and Guild Members were different so when you guys talked about recruiting members I thought you meant for adventurers and support for field work and such. I need to generate salaries for the staff/members to cover the cost of their work and then I can create an equation to determine the kind of work they produce over time based on their salaries.

average worker gets what 1 gold a week so lets say 20 gold a month witch would also cover there dues and they get accesses to everything else the other guild members get, there not just works there also troops or whatever you call the guild members.

So in essence they don't get paid because what you would pay them you take as membership fees? hilarious.

20 gold a month is way more then they would get paid, plus the money they can make on selling copys of whatever invention they make. plus we are going to have fund there research, that means matrial, equipment etc. its not cheep. but this is way they work for the guild you pay a few dues now and then later your making tons of money and you regret nothing.

Okay so the guild pays for materials and the experts live for free in the hall? Am I understanding correctly?

Yeah. As long as there showing results, anything they need comes from the guild bank and we have that one guy who keeps track of financial stuff. The other expert the recruiter makes sure we have plenty of new guild members training and paying dues and if the experts need recruiting trainees to help them out then they ask our recruiter. And each member gets a discount on items with our shop steward Who well come up and get what ever they need at a price of course. So we make more money for the guild that way . Plus were going to have these people back us up with money, the ones we meet with yesterday. So yeah we're all set I think

Interesting... free labor that has to pay for equipment with a non-existing salary. You should go into politics, guys. Government jobs need an overhaul. lol.

The salary are the jobs there going to be sent on. So let's say lem gets to be final lvl 1 whatever and is sent off to fight a goblin stealing random crappie from a group of miners. Let's sent out to stop him, lem does and while doing so he fines a stack of gems the goblin stole from the miners he can keep what he found , he starts a name for him self and made some money, of course we get 10% on everything they find but still it's a big pay day for lem. Now lem would not have known about this annoying goblin doing this and he would not have had the skill to stop him if it was not thanks to heroes ring.

That makes perfect sense, that's how guild membership should work. You could even witch it up so that the sack becomes guild spoils and he get's a percentage of that.

But what of the Experts, that are better combat-wise than Kosey, Rick, and Ryoku as far as class goes, who are locked in the basement making sneakers that say made in china. How do they make a profit?

By the way, Lem wouldn't work for you bitchass slave drivers

the scientist/engineers are being funded for there work. there work can be sold and massed produced. so for example there working on the next giant strength pill. you take this pill and you get +4 strength for an hour. now everyone in heroes ring is going to want this so you sell it to all the members of heroes ring they take 50% profit we get 50% of it for funding there work. now everyday there making money and that's just for the one item they just invented. now we ask all the items they create or work on to be in relation to helping end the war with the ninjas or helping to make guild mission easier for our guild members.

the warrior. free room and bored. and they get 1 gold for every new troop he is training not a month but 1 gold person person. lets say gets ten this month then 10 gold he gets. and if it gets slow he can take mission just like the rest of the guild.

the Palladian well help with training but mostly be or preacher of sorts so he gets all the donation at the end of each ceremony. (with 5% going to the guild)

and the other guys can be worked out later (I have to go home from work)

all the guild members including us. they can take a quick mission if they wanted to. something small, I think all the mission on our mission board should have an estimated time of completion and a mission level from 1-10 1 being the easiest and 10 being the hardest. and an estimated bounty or profit margin on it. 6-10 have to be okayed with ether a trainer who thinks hes ready or one of us. and 4-7 can be done by PC's who want extra money in like a day or so. but 6-10 still have to be okayed with someone who would know better.

I think that we need to have a clear division between Guild Members and Guild staff members.

Guild members would pay their membership fee and get the perks we listed earlier.

Guild Staff Members who do not pay the membership fee do not receive the perks that we listed before. They would be employees of the guild. We would be paying them for their services to the guild. The staff members could choose to be guild members if they liked and would then be subject to the membership fee. I think this is the only fair compromise. Any patent that the staff members develop belong to the guild and will be sold at our stores. They will be rewarded a one time bonus for developing innovative devices if they are engineers Or even beneficial medicines if they are medics. This way the guild benefits and we keep a market on the things we develop.

I think we should decide if the experts that we recently recruited are going to be guild members or staff member. They can be both if we want them to be staff members, but it has to be their choice.

I think that if we choose to make them guild staff, we should pay them a base price for every 1 point of skill they possess in their particular field. Maybe 4 silver per rank in a specified skill. Like a medic with rank 4 in medicine would receive 16 silver every 2 weeks. Which is 32 silver a month or 3.2 gold per month. Their base salary increases with their rank in said skill. This is the only fair route that we can take concerning the guild staff.

Lem: can you suggest a fair value if the one above is too low. I want it to make sense for the era and not break the guild bank.

I suggest that the current experts we have are made into guild staff so that when we do recruit more experts we will have staff that have menial quests for the guild members to take on. For instance if the medic needs 20 leaves of a particular plant to make medicine. He will put in a request, I will approve it and set a fair rate for completing said task. Once it is complete the guild member will get their reward, the medic will receive the leaves and make the medicine so that we can sell it in the guild store to make a high profit.

i agree with everything raheem said sounds great the money/skill thing sounds confusing but whatever he's the treasure anyways. but I think we should make it clear to the experts that Everything they work on is war/mission related because we don't want them taking advantage and be like look I invented the next cigar/toothbrush machine, because that would be a waste of our time.
Anything else you have question about MR Dm Assholesmellyfuckface.

Concerning filling the guild bank and our membership fees. We should all pay for this initial month. Since we are the founding members it would only be beneficial to do so. Paying 30 gold a month should be our fee but we get better perks than the other guild members.

Inner Circle, Senior Members
Perks:

  • Free Meals (3 a day)

  • 50% off on Equipment and Item Purchases from our store.

  • Free low tier equipment and items. Examples would be cloth armor, basic daggers, bandages. This package will be put together on a monthly basis and must be picked up from the guild store.

  • Private Bed Room

  • Access to the yard and classrooms

  • Access to quest and jobs before the Advance members.

  • Create Quests and jobs for the lower tier guild members (1 to 11 Rings). Guild members must be paid adequately once quest is completed. The quests and jobs must be submitted to the acting Master of Quests (me for now).

  • Teacher: You can start a class within the guild and become a staff member. If you can find at least 5 guild members who want to learn from you you can start a class based on a specific guild and you will be paid as a guild staff member.

Let me know what other perks you guys want.
